2018
It's been a while since our news and updates page has been , well, updated. To help with that for 2018 and beyond, the TBM team has a new Social Media Director who already has on Instagram, Facebook with more to come. With her assistance, we are moving forward faster than ever! So without further babbling, here are TBM's 2018's big plans, some of which are already in motion.
FIRST, we have a newly designed (Generation 2) T42-T43 Interface module. It's stronger and more resistent to the elements.
SECOND, we are proud to carry PCS transmission control systems to expand our 6L80/90 product offerings. And to commemorate the occasion, we have finally tackled the GEN III and older SBC engine 6L80/90 conversion with two projects-because you voted for it! Our 2004 Pontiac GTO with 24x LS2 and 6L80 transplant and our 1999 Chevy Silverado 24x LS2-6L80 swap! We will be incrementally introducing all of the components needed to run not only your Gen III full size trucks, but also your older C/K GEN I/II SBC-BBC Vortecs AND 6.2L Diesels! Stay tuned.
THIRD, we are revisiting our roots: the GMT360 truck platform (SSR, Trailblazer, Envoy, Ascender, Rainier, Bravada, 9-7X), GMT355 (Colorado & Canyon), and GMT365 (Hummer H3) and planning to expand out product line offering to keep these vehicles running faster and stronger than ever against the competition. We have already extended our 6L80/90 transmission conversion systems to cover the full 2002-09 production model years and all factory engine families (LS V8's and Atlas I4-5-6). Trailblazer 1SS's trims will be able to once again upgrade to the Driver Information Center with the re-release of our add-on kit. What's up our sleeves for the rest of 2018? LT Direct Injection conversions! Stay tuned.
FOURTH, learning from GEN III 6L80 projects we are working on a compact 6 speed automatic transmission solution that will allow you to have to have a beefy solution for your older vehicles stuck in the last millenium. Imagine 6L80/90 level of performance, fuel economy and durability, WITHOUT having to cut apart your floorpan??? And guess what. You don't have to have a Chevy engine to do it because we're going to make it available for Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac AND small black Ford (Windsor) engine bellhousing patterns. | TBMSport's Custom Transfer Case Adapter are on sale!!! You'll need this adapter if you plan to convert a 4WD/AWD Trailblazer, Saab 9-7x, Hummer H3, or Colorado/Canyon to a 6L80/90 transmission.
A custom input shaft will also be required and can range from $175-$750, depending on application.

For Inline GM Atlas 4, 5, 6 cylinder engines found in 2002-12 Chevy Trailblazer/Colorado, GMC Envoy/Canyon, Saab 9-7X, Oldsmobile Bravada, Buick Rainer, Isuzu Ascender/pickups
NEW Emtech Block adapter
This adapter plate allows SBC/LS1 bolt pattern transmissions to be
used behind the Atlas**. Examples are NV4500, T56, 6L50, 6L80, TH400, T-5, etc.
4 &5 cylinder applications(2800, 2900, 3500 & 3700) will require the
end user to remove additional material to clear the balance shaft drive.
The plate has sufficient material added to the side to allow it to be
used as a mid-engine mount plate. Additional material was added on
the bottom to accommodate installation of a billet main cap girdle.

ProjecTHROWDOWN TBSS 6L90 was finally able to get to the racetrack over the holidays and did a respectable 2.04 60ft and 13.75@ 100MPH. Not great, but not bad for a 5200+lb, 20" all season tire, AWD brick with only CAI, Cat-Back Exhaust and modest engine tune. When time permits, more engine tuning will get us closer to our low 13 goal by spring. (01/18/12)

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. Due to rising costs of HST and Broker fees, ALL orders shipping to Canada will assessed a duties pre-shipment charge. ($120 for valances, $250 for exhaust systems). Once duties have been estimated and paid, any difference will be refunded to the customer.

| An invite to THROWDOWN '11 Bowling Green, KY @ LS-Fest in Sept was extended to TBMSport. Unfortunately, due to post Hurricane Irene problems we were unable to attend. |
Well we didn't win THROWDOWN '11 Irvine,California...not enough time to iron out all the wrinkles, but we met some great people and had fun.
More importantly, we were the long distance champs!! ProjecTHROWDOWN was put together in less than 2 months (up to and including the day of the event), driven cross-country (38 hours non stop), beat like a new drum, and DIDN'T break a thing!
Most importantly, we gained a LOT of learning lessons that will translate into better products and services for Trailblazer SS's. If we get the opportunity to come next year, we'll be prepared and WILL win!

Truckin’s THROWDOWN is a one-day event that will push your truck to its limits by competing against other high-performance hot-rods with beds in the following tests:
0-60-0 mph acceleration/stopping 1/4-mile performance 600-ft slalom Technical, multi-turn autocross course Styling competition And new for this year, we’re working with the facilitators of El Toro Marine Base to let use a 2.25-mile road course.

In response to our invite by Truckin' magazine to partake in its inaugural 2011 THROWDOWN event, TBMSport had to up the ante. In order to meet the likely competition and beat them (not to mention represent the East Coast), we knew that our 5.3L 6L80 Trailblazer "RS" truck, while impressive, was not going to cut it.
So we contacted a few sources who take their products and services as seriously as we do and laid out a plan. We were going to build a high performance AWD Trailblazer SS that fits into your average enthusiast's budget and time frame and put a serious BEATDOWN at the THROWDOWN.

As an owner of the 1SS I really regret not getting the 3SS package. So to make a long story short, after going over this kit with a few guys, we finally decided to create and introduce an all in one kit for the 1SS owners. It will include the following:
-Pair of Factory Trip Info/Display/Select switches
-New "Trailblazer SS" pod replacement bezel with contoured openings for switches.
-Plug & Play wiring harness that does NOT require any wiring cutting or additional parts. No soldering. Wiring will include feature to allow buttons to be backlit as the factory intended. (Plug & Play installation feature for TBSS gauge clusters only)
-Complete Installation Directions
